What to bring
- A list of every headache medication tried, with doses and duration
- Prior MRI, CT, MRV, or angiography — images on disc if possible, not just reports
- Any recent eye exam or visual field testing
- A two-week headache diary if you have one
- Records from prior neurology or headache clinics

If this is an emergency
A sudden, severe headache that peaks within seconds, a headache with fever and neck stiffness, new weakness, numbness, difficulty speaking, or loss of vision requires emergency evaluation. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department — do not wait for an appointment.
